The Roosevelt Fire District is located in the town of Hyde Park, NY, County of Dutchess and is located approximately half way between New York City and Albany NY on the east side of The Hudson River. The Fire District is an area of approximately 27 sq. Miles. The area consist mostly of residential homes and small business. The Culinary Institute of America and the Victory Lake Nursing Home are located within the District. The Fire District is bordered by the following fire districts: Arlington, Fairview, Pleasant Valley, Hyde Park Fire and Water, Staatsburg and West Clinton. The fire protection and emergency services are provided to the approximately 3000 families by 108 dedicated, all VOLUNTEER fire and rescue personnel. The dedication and effective administration of the Board of Fire Commissioners and Chief Staff over the past 42 years has proven that the Roosevelt Fire District will continue to grow and maintain one of the truly great community volunteer services.
